Fuck yeah!
I've been listening to Gamehounds and it's good and all, but to tell you the truth, I trash any episodes that don't have Tim, otherwise it's just news and angry rants (no offense to the GH people) - just not my cup of tea.
If donations would help, I'd be glad to stuff the tip jar if it means a re-born Widget show. I suspect there's a good amount of people out there who still have the widget feed collecting dust in their iTunes podcast section just in case. I think you'd suprise a lot of people and automatically get a large audience by using the old feed. However you do it, it'd be nice to see some new content come out of Pink Ninja.

Thanks for the kind words, Kyeetza. There's still 148 subscribers to The Widget feed at this very moment. Most of them are iTunes.
Diddy: Nope, I'd just do two shows. GH is easy; I show up and talk. And of course you'd be on. Goodness sake; you're DIDDLER!

The Widget show was the best tech show out there at the time. If it came back, I would not only listen, but I would be sure I told every soul I know to listen to promptly..

Bring it back, I miss it very much. I really want to see the persistently updated virtual gaming system so we have great advice from real people when we feel like upgrading.
I still get my Tim fix on Gamehounds now, but I really miss The Count.

OK, here's the deal... Tim and I have spoken about this and we're going to give it a shot and see if we can re-capture the magic. One thing we have decided on is that we need a 3rd chair... a rotating 3rd chair... a barbers shop chair if you will  And here's where you come in... If you'd be interested in being the 1st 3rd chair then reply to this thread and we'll pick someone. We're recording the 1st show on Friday 14 August 2009 at 9pm BST (British Summer Time) and it should last a little over an hour. What you'll need: - A thick skin and a sense of humour
- Thoughts on modern computer components - we're building the Widget Virtual PC
- A working broadband connection and Skype account
To temper the excitable amongst you... We're going to try this for a few weeks and if we don't find it fun we stop. Hopefully we can get back to the hi-life |
