You probably already know that Hawkes is gone from GameHounds after this week.

We're all pretty stunned. We only found out yesterday. We had all this new stuff working in the last couple weeks for the expanded website, we'd just had a meeting about the direction of the show and what changes we wanted to make in the podcast, and then we lose a host.

I'm gonna miss him a lot.

That sucks.  I'm going to miss what Hawkes brings to the show.

Well that's the business. When what's-her-face left Regis and Kelly Ripa joined the show went on and no one can remember Kathy-Lee-Gifford's name anymore (err, wait)

It's a shame, he brought his own very specific insights that I have found valuable.

Yeah. The final show (which will post Friday), he was in true "old Hawkes" form. Prolly the best show out of him since October. He's been so distracted lately with everything, I was hurting for him every week.

So he goes out on a high note.

I thought Hawkes has been on form with every show he was on.  I think all the best shows involve Hawkes and when he is missing the show has suffered for it.  Finding a replacement with the same passion, wit, and charisma will be difficult at best.

I know this is probably just wishful thinking on my part, but I hope this turns out to be just a hiatus.

Unfortunately, this is permanent. We will, however, muscle on. Courage everyone. It may all be different, but that doesn't mean it won't be as good.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.  I may be down but I am not out..

I enjoyed working on GameHounds and will miss it terribly, but I will mostly miss the wonderful group of listeners who have kept me coming back all this time.  Smiley Thank you all for making everything worth while, and I hope you remember:

I am Bioware's Bitch.

I took Gotham's white knight, and brought him down to our level. It wasn't hard. Y'see, madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little...push. HAHAHAHA - Joker from "The Dark Knight"
