Yeah, the movie looks like hipster shit, but the fucking videogame hits all of my soft spots. Fucking kids.  Angry

I have faith in Edger Wright of "Hot Fuzz" and "Shaun of the Dead" fame.. Smiley

We'll have it up again this evening (US Central Time) - been having some major problems with our host...and it seems the episode links are screwed up. Patience, young Jimsson!

As I suspected, the file was missing. It's uploaded now and should work!

Similar to the question on the show, If I go to Ireland on holiday with my G1 (and turn off all the data) do you think I'll be charge for GPS? I want to use it for recording my bike rides. If I have to unlock my phone and get an Irish prepaid sim will I need data for the GPS or can I get a call and texts only plan?

Good question, I don't believe GPS has anything to do with your data plan requirements though. Can't you reset some usage counter on your phone now and use GPS for a while and see if any data usage is added?

Some assisted GPS systems will produce/require a little data from your carrier.

The GPS won't use the data connection really.. but many GPS apps download the actual maps on the fly, and that will use data. Lots of it. You'd need some app that let you download a whole country/area before you left so it was already on the device.

Well on my the GPS doesn't appear to need any data. The tracks are recorded on a blank map and then when I upload it to Google Maps it figures out what the GPS tracks mean. Seeing as I'm just using it to record where I cycle I don't need the maps as I go so I'm happy.

Yeah, with Tracks you're in a different boat since it's just plotting your long/lat data. It's not like Maps that actually pulls in data based on your AGPS signal on the fly. There are GPS apps for Android that don't use data, but you've go to pay. There are some hacks that allow you to pre-download Google Maps data to your phone on a per search basis, but I've never actually used any myself.
